POLARFRONT is a former weather ship turned expedition yacht that now sails from Svalbard, revealing the secrets of these remote coastlines to the lucky few who step aboard.

Eight generous cabins that accommodate up to 12 guests, welcomed by a skilful crew of 11. The main lounge is the centre of life onboard, where guests socialise and can attend presentations by expert guides or naturalists.

POLARFRONT fitness room and library (dedicated to polar literature) enhance her array of onboard amenities. After an adventurous day, guests can relax in the free-standing hot tub on the deck or in the sauna.

  • The small ship advantage offers a true marine and Arctic safari experience — searching for polar bears, whales, walrus, orca and other Arctic wildlife in remote and spectacular environments.

  • Polarfront is committed to using local Norwegian and French suppliers and partners with small responsible producers to offer a refined cuisine on-board. Organic lamb from Quercy raised on a family farm, traditional smoked salmon from Boulogne Sur Mer salted locally and smoked in the family’s old chimneys, and free-range beef and pork from a small breeder, are some of the suppliers that Polarfront partners with.

  • The bridge is open most of the time, so you’re welcome to join the captain and guides to enjoy the views or ask about the day’s route. It’s a great place for spotting wildlife when it’s too cold to go outside.

  • The team on board will aim to have you out exploring by zodiac on land. POLARFRONT is equipped with:
