BRITISH COLUMBIA

HELI-HIKES | SKIING | FLY FISHING

Explore the far flung corners of the Selkirks.

Only accessible by helicopter, BATTLE ABBEY is the ultimate remote mountain retreat. Founded in 1978 by legendary mountaineer Hans Gmoser — the pioneer behind CMH — this iconic lodge was first opened for skiing, climbing, and exploration.

Today, its summer season reveals a wild, private playground deep in British Columbia’s Selkirks.
Step into untouched alpine terrain: hike established ridge-line trails, trek shimmering glaciers, scale our new via ferrata routes, swim in jewel-toned alpine lakes, cast for bull trout and paddle board in pristine old-growth river systems. Every adventure is guided by our professional team, whether you’re hiking, glacier trekking, fishing, or climbing. All ages are welcome to Battle Abbey.

Come ski season, BATTLE ABBEY’S world-class terrain offers a wide array of adventures for intermediate to expert backcountry ski tourers and split-boarders. From steep tree skiing below the lodge to high alpine bowls, couloirs and long glaciated runs above, there is Supreme Skiing for all weather conditions. For the thrill seekers, join our certified guides up rugged peaks, scramble over ridges and explore rarely ventured terrain.

Looking for a remote experience without the skiing? BATTLE ABBEY’S strikingly private mountain location allows you to immerse yourself in the backcountry from the comfort of the lodge. Enjoy a curated wine cellar overlooking the breathtaking vistas, rejuvenate your body in a cedar sauna, or read your favourite book next to a crackling fireplace.

YOUR DWELLINGS
